The ‘Weak’ in U.S. Politics: Trump fails at speaking Yiddish, Carson’s comeback, Sanders sues the DNC, and Lindsey Graham (remember him?) drops out.

From our family here at DownUnder-Current, we hope everyone has had a fabulous time with their family and friends this holiday season.
Hillary Clinton and Dr. Ben Carson both posted Throwback Christmas pics, Trump and Bernie Sanders posted images of their families celebrating togetherness, while Ted Cruz posted videos of his daughters sledding in the snow. Merry Christmas!
But now it’s back to business, and it’s already dirty.
Bernie Sanders has cut Clinton’s lead almost in half while he continues to take on the DNC with allegations of corruption, sabotage, and the recent lodgment of a lawsuit against the party organization over how they handled the data breach incident. “I just think it’s utter hypocrisy on their part, I mean here we are being attacked for the behavior of an individual, which we ultimately fired,” a Bernie Sanders adviser commented. You can read court documents here.
In New Hampshire, Ben Carson fell in the polls below Jeb Bush, which is just totally embarrassing. But Carson claims a big campaign shake-up is on its way, also saying no campaign staff jobs are completely safe, “I’m looking at every aspect of the campaign right now. Everything is on the table, every job is on the table. And we’re going to analyze it very carefully.”
I know Hillary is doing the whole family schtick at the moment following Chelsea Clinton’s recent pregnancy announcement, but this video of little girls reading their handwritten letters to Clinton was adorable. The best offer for any presidential campaign came from a young girl who said, “If you would like help with your campaign, I am available and I would work for candy.” Don’t tell the labor unions though …
However, ever since Clinton said Trump was “Isis’s best recruiter” in the last Democratic debate, he has gone way over the top with his insults saying she was “schlonged” which has since been slammed by Yiddish speakers. He has also warned Clinton against using the “female” card and demanded an apology from her, to which Clinton, of course, says, “Hell No,” because she has all the chutzpah in the world.
Side note: Lindsey Graham dropped out of the GOP race just prior to Christmas, saying he “hit a wall” although he “enjoyed a debate and a glass of wine at the same time.” While I always found him to be a most underwhelming candidate, I will certainly miss his weird tutorial videos about destroying cell phones.
Who will be next to drop out? My money is on Rand Paul.
