Brian J. Love (Professor of Materials Science and Engineering, University of Michigan) has taught in the College of Engineering at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor since 2008. Before that, he was a Professor at Virginia Tech from 1993 to 2007. He is the co-author of "Corked: Tales of Advantage in Competitive Sports" with Michael L. Burns (5th Avenue Press, ISBN ISBN-13: 978-1947989375). Dr. Michael L. Burns' (Clinical Lecturer of Anesthesiology, University of Michigan) research interests include machine learning, medical analytics, scheduling, and hospital operations. He is a member of the Multicenter Perioperative Outcomes Group (MPOG), which is a consortium of anesthesiology and surgical departments using aggregate medical data to improve patient care, quality, and perioperative outcomes. He is the co-author of "Corked: Tales of Advantage in Competitive Sports" with Brian J. Love.
