We spoke to poetrepreneur @j.r.williams_ about his time on the road that formed the body of his work and the message that we do not hear enough. Unfiltered, of course.

J.R. Williams
My name is James Williams Jr, I go by the pen name J.R. Williams. I was born in Pasadena, California, and in my short 22 years of life have traveled all over the United States. That’s when I first fell in love with writing, finding a connection between the raw emotion of the land, and the people. I have always had a love for people, and it is that love and my newfound love for this earth, that has pushed me to share my work. I find that there are many emotions that this earth and man have in common, and the emotion I intend to provoke the most through my writing is love. I want to show people that in even the darkest of dark, there is light. That’s how my page came to be, a sort of gateway for those struggling to see beauty, and struggling to see life. I believe, and always will believe, that and that alone is why so many people have felt connected to my writing.
